Subscribers only can carry on conversations.
What about Icebreaker messages? Isn't that free communications? Where will I receive my Yahoo! Dating email? Are all communications within Yahoo! Dating really anonymous and secure? | A subscription to Yahoo! Dating separates the serious people who are seeking to meet other people from everyone else at Yahoo! Dating who is really just "window shopping." |

Yes, you do not have to be a Yahoo! Personals subscriber to send or receive an Icebreaker message. However you do have to be a Yahoo! Personals subscriber to reply to someone who responds to an Icebreaker you send. Likewise, if you receive an Icebreaker from someone, you can respond with an Icebreaker, however they can't respond back.
So, at this point, each of you has signaled an interest. You are limited to one exchange of Icebreakers. If you want to go anywhere from here, you're going to have to subscribe and send an email or an Instant Message. Otherwise, you're just two flirts winking at one another in passing. |

It comes to your Yahoo! Personals mail box, the same place where you receive Icebreakers. You can reach your mailbox from the "Mailbox" link within the row of menu items at the top of the Yahoo! Personals home page (http://personals.yahoo.com).

In all of your communications -- Icebreakers, email and Instant Messages -- with anyone you find on Yahoo! Personals, you are identified only by your Yahoo! Personals profile name. It is the name you selected to identify yourself when you created your profile. It is a different name than, for example, your Yahoo! username, the one you use to sign in for your Yahoo! mail. If you do not reveal your Yahoo! username or your real name to anyone on Yahoo! Personals, no one can find out who you really are or anything else about you.

| If I take a multiple-month (3 or 6) subscription, how will I be charged? [ back to top ] |

We charge your credit card one time for 3- or 12-month subscriptions. In return we offer these subscriptions at substantial discounts compared with the $19.95 we charge for a 1-month subscription. For the 3-month subscription, we make a single charge to your credit card of $42.95 (equivalent to $14.35 per month). For a 12-month subscription we make a single charge to your credit card of $89.95 (equivalent to about $7.50 per month).
|
| What happens when my subscription expires? [ back to top ] |
|
We automatically renew your subscription and charge your credit card on the anniversary of the expiration date of your subscription. For example, if you joined Yahoo! Personals on Jan. 5, we would automatically renew your subscription on Jan. 5, the following year.
If you joined for 3 months on Jan. 15, we will automatically renew your subscription on April 15, July 15, Oct. 15, etc.
